Before I start to talk about our "Beatle Content Network", a piece of history until now.

I'm Ricardo Pugialli, a Brazilian writer, researcher and producer. In July, 2000, I decided to start a website to promote my books, two of them on my original area of study, Biology, and two others about Music: Os Anos da Beatlemania (1992), regarding the beatlemania years, and No Embalo da Jovem Guarda (1999), a book about the early years of rock and roll in Brazil.

The website had an awesome success on its first months, what leads me to upload new pages to sell the books, promote my work as fishculture consultant, my articles about musicians, among others. It was known as "Pugialli's Peacock Bass", in allusion to domain name I had chosen, www.tucunare.bio.br.

For those who didn't know, the Peacock Bass fish (Tucunaré in Brazil), was chosen by me to begin my fishfarm and research in 1985.

The expected happened: the pages with our work about The Beatles' career, especially their instruments and records releases around the world, gained strength to the point of of making the page "come to life itself", as comment by the also Brazilian researcher and producer Marcelo Fróes.

So here's the new website, totally dedicated to the Greater Musical and Behavioral Phenomenon of the Twentieth Century and forever part of the World History: The Beatles.

The career of the legendary British group The Beatles has been the subject of thousands of articles and publications worldwide. Generic and specialized sites exist in all languages.

This Beatle Content Network aims to compile and present information on various aspects of the Beatles' career. Since my original articles, to collaborations with renowned researchers that will be bonded to the project.

Many curiosities, information and interviews ended up going beyond the material in the books. The Network is their place. It's a way to share with other Beatles fans the information we gather in these 40 years collecting Beatles.

Various aspects of their musical career are presented here on the Network, with emphasis on instruments and discography, including here besides the discs themselves, details and facts about the different editions and recordings around the world.

Besides abundant literature search for the facts presented here, many hours of "web navigation" were (and still are) made. The Internet has provided the largest source of research and information dissemination ever seen by mankind. A new Beatlemania, now digital, is coming.

But the material contained therein is copyrighted to its creators. This must be respected and is protected in Brazil by Copyright Laws (9.610/98 and 12737/2012), which configures crime punishable, even on the digital environment, the misappropriation of third-party copyright and commercial content.

Considering again the Brazilian reader as target (as I did on my books), I began to format this Network. The search for new images to the general public in terms of collecting Beatles albums bizarre curiosities, text concise but rich in novelties, everything was planned to bring the best original content in Portuguese. But the result is also interesting for collectors worlwide. That's why I have these pages in English.

                              HAVE FUN
.

w MESSAGE TO GEORGE: once the ex-Beatle George Harrison died, many absurd statements and interviews popped up in the media, including Brazil. Like an"outburst" mixed with a "chat between two friends," I gave my tribute to a man with unmatched talent and unwavering Faith.
....................................................
e BRAZILIAN DISCOGRAPHY: the records originally released in Brazil in the 1960s, in chronological order, with unique covers, labels, reprints. A treat for those who lived through the era and will revive the nostalgia of vinyl records, a surprise to anyone whom is of the age of CDs and downloads. CHECK!
.....................................................
t WORLD DISCOGRAPHY: The Beatles' recording career is odd worldwide. More than 60 countries cast albums of the group since 1963, with covers, playlists and formats completely different! Only in 1964 were launched 525 different records worldwide! TAKE A TRIP AROUND THE WORLD WITH THE BEATLES.
.....................................................
t STEREO RARITIES IN BRAZIL: during the 1960s, most of the Beatles' releases in Brazil were in mono. Although almost all the songs have been mixed in stereo by producer George Martin and released in British records, Odeon, EMI's Brazilian branch, didn't allow the Brazilian collectors to have access to these versions during the 1960's. KNOW THEM!
.....................................................
t FACTS ABOUT THE RECORDINGS: the first Beatles recordings were made on two tracks recorders! From the single "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (October 1963), they started using four-track equipment. In August 1968, they entered the age of eight tracks, the best technology available so far. On many occasions, the mono and stereo version were completely different, mainly when many overdubs were made during the recording process. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

t
THE BEATLES GEAR: there isn't a Beatles fan, or even a curious, whom don't identify the Hofner bass, "the Violin," with Paul, or a Rickenbacker guitar with John and George. The magical sound of the group was created using a variety of instruments, of various brands, tones, sounds, all seeking to express musical ideas that are coming from those four geniuses. So let us make a "trip" through the world of guitars, bass and drums used by those who are today the most popular artists of our history. HAVE FUN!
.....................................................
t THE BOOKS: the career of the legendary British group The Beatles has been the subject of thousands of articles and publications worldwide. In Brazil, only a few reports and translations could be seen as genuinely national works on the career of the fab four before 1992. Books, just imported and / or translated. Thus, in 1992 and 2008, Ricardo Pugialli launched two very important works for the World Bibliography of The Beatles. The first one is in the library of Apple Corps. The second one had an introduction by The Beatles producer, Sir George Martin. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BOOKS!
.....................................................
t INTERVIEWS: several interviews were conducted during the preparation of the first book, in 1992. Two of the main ones were chosen to be displayed in full: George Martin (Beatles producer) and Derek Taylor (public relations and later marketing manager of Apple Corps).

.....................................................
t GEORGE MARTIN IN BRAZIL: the impossible happened. Because the interview we (me and the other author of the first book, Marcelo Fróes), had scheduled through EMI, which would be the preface of our book "Os Anos da Beatlemania", we were face to face with none other than George Martin, the man who polish thw sound of the biggest group of all time.
Two questions, which virtually ended the interview were the starting point for achieving a big dream: to bring George Martin to Brazil. AND WE DID! READ ALL!
.....................................................
t VIDEOS: since 1992 Ricardo Pugialli gave interviews promoting the two books, participated in programs, commemorative events and made himself promotional videos. WATCH THIS COLLECTION HERE IN NETWORK
